LG believes in OLED and unlike its competitors it can actually produce the amazing displays at scale. In an announcement, LG has unveiled its OLED roadmap for 2013 to 2017 with foldable and rollable displays planned for 2017.
LG’s OLED roadmap
The roadmap is interesting and if everything goes according to plan we have some exciting years ahead of us. LG has already released curved OLED TVs and is currently trying to ramp up production of flexible OLED panels for wearables. Several wearables already include OLED displays, and the Apple Watch appears to use OLED, too.

Starting in 2015, LG will start producing bendable OLED displays for out mobile devices, and hopes to start supplying OLED displays for tablets, too.
2017 is where it gets very interesting, as LG is planning to mass-produce foldable and rollable displays ,and even rollable TVs that you can roll up like a projector canvas. LG has previously said that the company also hopes to produce 60-inch transparent and flexible OLEDs by 2017.
