PC monitors are growing and becoming curved. At CES 2015, Philips has unveiled its first curved monitor, which is a ultrawide 34-inch model.

Philips believes that the monitor is great for “viewing spreadsheets, editing multiple documents and running several programs at once”, but the extra wide format can also improve the gaming or movie experience. A 34-inch curved monitor might even be a viable alternative to a multi-screen setup on a desktop.
Besides the wide format, the monitor boasts an IPS panel with 3440x1440 pixels. It can be connected to a PC or another source via DisplayPort 1.2, HDMi 2.0 or HDMI 1.4. It also comes with built-in speakers and four USB 3.0 ports.
No words on pricing or release details yet but we can probably expect to see it in stores soon as other curved 34-inch monitors have already started rolling out.
