Wireless sound is not a new thing, but in recent years manufacturers have started building out multi-room systems that also connect wirelessly to the TV. Samsung is adding two new 360-degree speakers in 2015.
Samsung WAM7500 and WAM6500
The new speakers are called WAM7500 and WAM6500 and you can connect them wirelessly to your Samsung Smart TV via Samsung’s multi-room system. The unique twist here is that the uniquely-designed speakers output 360-degree sound.

Samsung says that a “Ring Radiator” technology funnels the sound out of the top. Samsung is far from the first to create 360-degree sound, but it is still hoping that it will resonate with consumers based on the multi-room eco system.. The WAM7500 is designed to stand on a table or a floor stand. The WAM6500 is a portable version with a battery built-in.

The speakers are the first to come out of Samsung’s new audio lab in Valencia, California. Specifications will be released later. No words on availability or prices.
The wireless home - and TV - is happening.
