Panasonic unveils its 2015 Blu-ray players
Panasonic is still a big believer in Blu-ray and has announced a new line-up of players for 2015. However, company is still not ready to announce details regarding its first Ultra HD Blu-ray players.2015 Panasonic Blu-ray players
There are no big surprises in the new line-up. Panasonic has not announced more details about its first Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Instead, Panasonic will launch conventional HD Blu-ray players with smart features on top.
The existing DMP-BDT700 and DMP-BDT460 will carry over into 2015, and Panasonic is adding new cheaper models with BDT370, BDT270, BDT170, BDT165 and BD83. Curiously, there is no Firefox OS options so if you want Panasonic’s new TV platform you need to buy one of the new TVs.
Some of the highlights in the new line-up include support for 4K photos, 4K upscaling, Miracast that allows you to mirror your phone onto the TV, and streaming apps. 3D is supported by all models, except the cheapest player.
The new Blu-ray players will be available by spring 2015, but availability will depend on your region. Prices have not been announced.
