LG's first 2015 4K OLED TV starts shipping
The first 2015 LG OLED TV with Ultra HD resolution is now shipping in the US for $5499. The 55-inch 55EG9600 also offers the webOS platform and is curved.
First 2015 OLED TV now shipping
LG will release a ranged of flat and curved 4K OLED TVs in 2015. We had a chance to experience the new TVs up close recently, and the first model is now shipping to customers in the US.
The price is in line with the leaked price list that came to light a few weeks ago. The 55-inch curved 55EG9600 currently sells for $5499, which is a high entry price, but still considerably cheaper than the first Full HD OLED TVs that launched in 2013.
LG will also launch a flat 55-inch 4K OLED TV, dubbed 55EF9600, that is expected to sell $4999. Follow the link for more information on the new 4K OLED TVs.
