Sony announced the first details about its new HiRes audio products at CES. The new products, that are the first to offer HiRes audio and Google Cast, will be available in a few weeks.

The Japanese manufacturer calls the new HT-ST9 "the best soundbar from Sony to date". It has a total output of 800W and can simulate a 7.1 channel surround experience with the built-in speakers and a wireless subwoofer.

Sony will also release a slightly less powerful HT-NT3 with 2.1 audio.

Both soundbars will be the first Sony products to support "high-resolution" sound (24-bit / 192 kHz). Sony will also offer HiRes sound its some of its new 2015 TVs.

The soundbars are also some of the first products to support Google Cast, which is Google’s response to Apple’s Airplay. The wireless cast system allows you to push music from a mobile device (Android and iOS) to the speakers. It is as easy as pressing a button. Spotify Connect is also supported.

Additionally, Sony will introduce a new “Sound Base” with built-in Google Cast in select markets. The model is called HT-XT3 and it too supports HiRes sound. The integrated speaker system has a total output of 350W in 2.1 channels. The subwoofer is integrated into the cabinet and Sony says that it is strong enough to carry a 65-inch TV.
