Ever since Jeremy Clarkson, and shortly after the two other hosts, left BBC’s Top Gear, rumors have swirled about a new car show collaboration with Netflix. Mirror reports that negotiations are ongoing and that the team is planning to name it House of Cars.

Jeremy Clarson supposedly attacked a producer during filming, which ultimately led to BBC firing him. His two co-hosts and the executive producer left shortly after.
BBC will keep the Top Gear program alive with new hosts, but Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and producer Andy Wilman, want to continue elsewhere. The team has been negotiating with ITV and Netflix, but the team fears “potential conflicts of interest with advertisers” at ITV.
Mirror is reporting that the negotiations with the streaming service are ongoing but that no contract has been signed. They are planning to call the show House of Cars; a reference to Netflix's political drama House of Cards.

Top Gear is the most popular factual TV program in history and was broadcast in over 100 countries to 350 million viewers. If "House of Cars" happens, Netflix will have yet another strong card on hand ahead of its global expansion.
