You will soon be able to watch Showtime’s TV series such as Homeland, Dexter, and House of Lies without a cable TV subscription. The stand-alone streaming service will launch July 12th on Apple TV and other Apple devices.
It’s just called Showtime
No “Now”, no “Plus”, just “Showtime”. The company makes it clear that the new streaming service is the future of Showtime. It will cost $11 per month and like many others it will offer a 30 day trial period.
- “Going over-the-top means Showtime will be much more accessible to tens of millions of potential new subscribers,” said Leslie Moonves, CBS CEO.
Showtime will be available exclusively on Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and iPod when it launches on July 12th. More platforms will be added later. The launch will coincide with new seasons of Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex, and the service will also offer sports and movies.
