LG’s latest monitor is also one of the first with AMD’s FreeSync technology. Combined with 4K resolution, LG believes that the monitor takes the gaming experience to the next level.
LG 27MU67 with Free Sync
Most graphics cards still struggle to run games in 4K resolution at a consistent 60 frames per second but with systems such as AMD’S FreeSync and Nvidia’s G-Sync, the monitor will automatically and instantly adapt to the frame rate of the game. This ensures a smooth gaming experience and very low lag.
LG’s new 27-inch 27MU67 is one of those monitors. It is also one of the first monitors with FreeSync to hit the market. A resolution of 3840x2160 pixels makes your games look great and input lag of 9.7 ms and response time of 5 ms should be low enough for most scenarios. LG says that the panel has a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz and that FreeSync works between 40 and 60 Hz. There is also a HDMI 2.0 port that can be used to connect 4K players.
The monitor is even suitable for other uses, for example graphics and photography, due to a quality 10-bit IPS panel and full sRGB coverage. It comes factory-calibrated and is flicker-free, too. The stand has height, swivel, tilt and pivot adjustments.
LG 27MU67 will be available starting next week in the US, Germany, and Australia, followed by a worldwide launch later. No price was announced.
