Sony’s new soundbar, HT-RT5, can reproduce 5.1 surround by adding two wireless rear speakers to the setup. The subwoofer also connects wirelessly, and the soundbar supports several music services.
Sony HT-RT5 550 watts
Sony believes that its new soundbar can reproduce much better surround sound compared other soundbars that imitate it from a single speaker position. Why? Because Sony has added two rear speakers to the package and increased total output to 550 Watts. The soundbar has center, left, and right channels integrated.

With support for DTS HD and Dolby True HD, the sound system should be able to improve the movie experience in your living room but it also supports music services. There is Spotify Connect and Google Cast built in.
Furthermore, the soundbar can integrate with multi-room systems or have additional wireless speakers added if these support SongPal Link.
Sony's new HT-RT5 soundbar will be available to pre-order on July 24 for €699 / Ł599. US launch details were not announced.
