The TV is already available in the US as an extension of the X90C line. The extremely thin 75-inch X91C is now coming to Europe. It offers Ultra HD, HDR (high dynamic range) and Android TV.
Sony’s super-thin X91C
You might have seen Sony’s elegant X90C in stores or even read our review. Consider X91C to be more or less the same TV, just larger and with support for HDR (high dynamic range).
Sony says that HDR will be available via a software update later. The same update will be available for other 2015 Sony TVs (link coming). However, since X91C is based on edge LED it will not reach the same peak brightness levels as full-array local dimming LCDs.

The X91C only exists as a 75-inch TV. It is 15 mm at its thinnest point but there is a box at the bottom half that hides inputs and chips. It rests on an aluminum stand but you can also choose to wall mount it with the included wall bracket.
The TV also comes packed with Google’s Android TV operating systems. You can download apps and games from the app store or push content from your phone or tablet via the Google Cast function. HEVC and VP9 decoding is supported for 4K content.¨
Sony’s X91C will be available in Europe from mid-eptember 2015.
