The industry cannot agree on a name but Raumfeld's new Sounddeck is similar to many of the “soundbases” out there. It is a powerful speaker solution designed to sit under your TV. It will be available for Ł799.
Raumfeld Sounddeck with multiroom
Raumfeld recently announced its soundbar for TVs and is now expanding its line-up with a Sounddeck. The new speaker box is designed to support your TV and can also be integrated in Raumfeld’s multiroom system for music (also lossless) from Spotify, Tidal, Napster and radio.

Subwoofers have been built in and the construction is strong enough to support even large flat panel TVs, says Raumfeld. You simply connect the box to the TV with an HDMI cable. It supports HDMI CEC, meaning that you can control volume with your TV remote. There is also a dedicated remote and an app for smartphones.
- "German-engineered, the Sounddeck employs six High-End-drivers, two Downfire-Subwoofers & integrated 280-WattClass-D-amp for roomfilling sound with impressive sonic details for movies and music" says Raumfeld.

The Sounddeck will be available from spring 2016 for Ł799 but if you want to get it before Christmas you can pay extra for a "Priority-edition" that is available for Ł949. It is available in matte black and silky white and can be ordered from raumfeld.com. You can return all Raumfeld products within eight weeks of purchase if you are not satisfied.
