Google has announced that HBO Now, Showtime, CBS All Access, Disney Movies Anywhere, Epix, WWE and UFC are now available as apps on Android TV.
New apps on Android TV
Sony, Philips, Sharp, Nvidia, Razer and Asus are currently selling TVs and media players built on Android TV but users have complained that there is too little content to enjoy. Google and partners are slowly but firmly adding new apps to the Google Play store on Android TV.
Some of the big names have just been added with Showtime, HBO Now and CBS All Access. All three are stand-alone services that you can subscribe to without having a cable TV subscription. Once you sign up you can start watching TV series and movies in HD resolution.

Disney Movies Anywhere and Epix are also available now, along with WWE and UFC. Magine TV is now also available in Germany. A full list of “premium Android TV apps” is available here.
Google also announced that new hardware partners are joining Android TV.
