Magic Leap releases demo of its augmented reality tech

The mysterious Magic Leap has attracted major investors such as Google and is planning to release a consumer product in the near future. Only very few people have tried the promising technology but Magic Leap has now released a short demo.

Magic Leap has only released a few details about its technology, which can probably best be described as a form of “augmented reality” that adds virtual objects on top of the real world. It is believes that Magic Leap achieves this with a special kind of glasses.

Magic Leap has released a demo intended to show off how it works in practice. It is noted that the demo is “shot directly through Magic Leap technology on October 14, 2015. No special effects or compositing were used in the creation of these videos.”



Magic Leap previously released another video of an office space turning into a war zone, which looks more like a proof of concept and not actual footage. That video is embedded below.
