A study from Parks Associates reveals the top ten subscription streaming services in the US. Unsurprisingly, Netflix leads the pack with Amazon Video in second and Hulu in third. HBO Now is a fast climber.
Top ten streaming services
The streaming market is still young but Netflix has already seen incredible success, so it is no surprise to see them in the number 1 spot. What might surprise you though is that four of the players on the list were launched within the last two years.

HBO Now is one of those newcomers. It launched in April and has already grown to become the sixth largest streaming service in the US. There are also several sports services in top ten. YouTube was not included because it is a free service.
1. Netflix
2. Amazon Video
3. Hulu
4. MLB.TV
5. WWE Network

- “The number of new services and continued growth for many existing services show the vitality of the OTT video services market in the U.S.,” said Brett Sappington, director of research at Parks Associates. “While Netflix holds a substantial lead, new and emerging OTT services are establishing their own place in the market.”
No market share numbers were revealed.
More than 25% of the people surveyed who use a streaming service are subscribers to two or more services.
