Netflix recently began streaming in HDR (high dynamic range). Each TV manufacturer will have to enable it through software updates and Panasonic has now issued an update for the 2016 models.
Netflix HDR on Panasonic TVs
If you want to enjoy TV series and movies in 4K HDR quality you need to purchase UHD Blu-ray discs or look towards streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix. Netflix supports both HDR formats; HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

Panasonic has issued a software update for the 2016 models to enable Netflix’s HDR streams. You can start watching now if you own DX700, DX730, DX758, DX780, DX800 or DX900. However, be aware that only DX900 has the hardware to reproduce HDR.
FlatpanelsHD is currently reviewing DX900 and DX750. Both models have received the update and we can confirm that it works as intended. Once you press play on Netflix’s HDR content the TV will automatically switch to HDR mode. Look for the HDR logo on Marco Polo to confirm that it works.
Netflix is currently offering only Marco Polo in HDR but the company has promised to make more than 150 hours of content available before the end of the year.
Panasonic has yet to confirm details for its 2015 models that support Netflix’s 4K streaming but not yet HDR streaming.
