Samsung’s first UHD Blu-ray player, UBD-K8500, is now available in Europe, following a launch in the US a few months ago. It is available for €550 / Ł429.

We already have the player and let us just say that paired with a good HDR TV, UHD Blu-ray can be quite the experience. We will publish a full review soon, and if you live in Europe you can now get your hands on the player, too.
Samsung’s UHD Blu-ray player is one of the first UHD players to be released. It is a major upgrade over the “old” Blu-ray standard that supported up to 1080p. The new standard combines 4K, HDR (high dynamic range) and wide color gamut to take the picture experience to the next level. The player also supports object-based audio system such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
UBD-K8500 is now shipping in Europe, including the UK and Germany. The player has been available in the US for a few months.
