When Sony takes the stage on September 7, it will unveil two new PlayStation consoles, claims Wall Street Journal. One of them will be the “Neo” with support for 4K gaming. The other will be a “Slim” model that was leaked over the weekend.
2 new PlayStation consoles
The new PlayStation 4 "Neo" is well-documented. Sony has already confirmed that it is coming and that it will be a high-end PlayStation. People expect it to support 4K gaming. The new “Slim” model, however, is a surprise.

Wall Street Journal reports that Sony will unveil both of these new PlayStation consoles on September 7 at an event in New York. One of them will replace the current model. Photos of the console, rumored to be named “PS4 Slim”, leaked over the weekend on an auction site, according to online publication Polygon.
As you can see from the leaked photos, the new PS4 Slim looks a lot like the current console – only smaller, slimmer, rounder and more matte. The photos also suggest that Sony will remove the optical audio port and that it will include a 500GB hard drive.
It is not clear if PS4 Slim will be capable of handling 4K video streaming but it is certainly possible.

PS4 Slim is expected to be cheaper than the current PlayStation 4, while the new, more powerful PS4 Neo is expected to be more expensive, says WSJ.
Sony will host its PlayStation event on September 7.
