After having sold media boxes built on mobile Android for a few years, Xiaomi finally unveiled its first box based on Android TV at Google I/O. It supports 4K and HDR and appears to be priced at just $69, according to 9to5Google.

We have yet to receive the official words on launch details from Xiaomi but the new Android TV box has been spotted in the wild at Walmart with a price tag of $69 – a good price for a box based on a full app platform and with built-in Google Cast.
Keep in mind that Google's new 4K Chromecast dongle is rumored to cost the same, $69 dollars.
The box was announced at Google I/O in May, and is based on Android TV version 6.0. It features 4K, HDR (High Dynamic range), ac WiFi, HEVC decoding, VP9 Profile 2 decoding, a quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (expandable via USB), HDMI 2.0a, and of course all the usual features of Android TV, including apps such as Netflix, HBO, Vudu, and more.
A label on the box says that it comes included with $76 dollars in offers and a free HDMI cable.
It is not clear if Xiaomi is planning to launch the new box globally - we will have to wait for the official word to be sure - but if you are located in the US it looks like you can pick it up now for $69 from Walmart.
