Amazon has permanently lowered the price of its Fire TV box and bundles by $10 and officially launched the new Fire TV Stick. The company has also previewed a new TV user interface that will come to existing devices via an update, according to Variety.
New Fire TV user interface
Amazon will soon introduce a revamped Fire TV user interface that “will come to the newest generation of Fire TV sticks and Fire TV streaming boxes first” according to a report from Variety.

Amazon puts content front and center, and highlights TV shows in a large banner. The interface takes cues from Netflix and Amazon hopes that it will engage viewers to watch even more content. Apps can be accessed as usual via shortcuts. You can arrange which apps are shown in the “My apps & games” row.
The new UI will roll out via a software update later this year; first on the new Fire TV Stick and 4K Fire TV. It will come later to the 1-gen Fire TV devices.
New Stick and $10 price drop
Amazon unveiled a new Fire TV Stick with Alexa in September and it is now officially shipping from Amazon.com for $40.

It offers access to more than 7000 apps, a faster quad-core processor, and a remote with a built-in microphone for Alexa.
Amazon has also permanently lowered the price of the 4K Fire TV and bundles by $10. The Fire TV box now costs $90 and the gaming edition is now available for $130.
The price drop seems to suggest that Amazon will skip a hardware refresh of the Fire TV box this year.
