Streaming service Epix has finally arrived on Apple TV4. The service offers a range of movies including ‘James Bond’ and ‘Star Trek’. There is a free trial to let you try out the app.
Epix on Apple TV
Apple is trying to establish its tvOS operating system and the Apple TV4 hardware as the go-to place for video streaming and apps on the TV screen. It has already attracted most of the major players and now Epix is joining.
An Epix app is now available on Apple TV4, the company has announced.
- “EPIX was created in anticipation of the digital revolution, launching with more content across more devices than any other network,” said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO of EPIX. “Apple has been a renowned leader in shaping the digital landscape and I’m proud to make our content available on Apple TV.”
The app offers access to “thousands of movies on demand, including big franchises ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘James Bond’ and ‘Star Trek’; as well as music and comedy events featuring marquee talent, like Katy Perry, Louis CK, Wanda Sykes and more”. Epix is also offering original series such as ‘Berlin Station’ and ‘Graves’ as well as live channels.
Epix was already available on Chromecast, PlayStation, Roku boxes and TVs, Android TV, Xbox One, smartphones, and tablets. The service offers content in up to HD quality.
New subscribers can try Epix through a “limited free trial of the app exclusively on Apple TV”.
