Vizio has unveiled six new soundbars, including a 5.1 soundbar with wireless subwoofer and rear speakers. Several of them double as music speakers with Chromecast built-in.
Starting at $80 dollars
The most affordable option is the 28-inch 2.0 soundbar that can be yours for $80 dollars. The top-of-the-line model will set you back $250 dollars.
The soundbars are designed to match the new Vizio TVs and differ in length depending on which model you choose. The most feature-packed is the 36-inch 5.1 soundbar that comes with wireless subwoofer and rear speakers. The soundbar has left, center, and right channels built-in, and it can deliver “101 dB of room-filling sound while rendering crystal-clear dialogue to enhance any show, movie or song”.
- “The new VIZIO sound bar collection gives consumers multiple configurations to choose from, all with premium audio performance to amplify the entertainment experience,” said Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. “With WiFi connectivity and Chromecast built-in, the VIZIO SmartCast sound bars allow listeners to enjoy a convenient wireless setup that allows them to easily control audio for TV shows and movies, as well as stream their favorite songs, playlists and podcasts in multiple rooms at once.”
Some of the soundbars (SmartCast) have Chromecast built-in, enabling you to stream music from services such as iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, Pandora, Spotify and more. Bluetooth is also integrated.
The company added that it is possibly to pair multiple Vizio speakers to play the same song in different rooms and that the “SmartCast soundbars also work with Google Assistant on devices such as Google Home, so users can control their sound bar using just their voice”
