The ‘TV’ app that lets you browse content from multiple services via the same user interface is expanding to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the UK. Live sports is also coming to the app.
On Apple TV, iPhone & iPad
The app was previously available only in the US but with the launch of tvOS 11, Apple is expanding its reach to seven additional countries. The first two (Australia and Canada) later this month, and the rest by the end of the year.
The ‘TV’ app “lets you browse content from over 60 video services without switching from one app to the next”, says Apple. It is available and syncronizes across Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad.

The company is also adding live sports and news to the app, besides the on-demand catalog. You can set it up to receive a notification before a game kicks off. Your iTunes purchases are also available from the app and you can use Siri to find content across the integrated services.
The TV app integrates with services such as HBO, Hulu, Showtime, and CBS. Netflix is still holding out but Amazon’s catalog will be available from within the TV app later this year when the Amazon Prime Video app becomes available on tvOS. This was confirmed by Apple at WWDC 2017 earlier this year.
At yesterday’s event the company also launched the Apple TV 4K.
