43 to 65-inch TVs
The new TVs are all built on Android TV, developed by Google as a unified platform for TV channels, apps, and games. Android TV also offers built-in Chromecast support.
The Westinghouse TV brand is licensed to China’s Tong Fang. The company used CES to announce the new Westinghouse-branded TVs that will also feature 4K resolution and direct LED backlight. The TVs will be available in 40, 43, 50, 55, and 65 inch sizes. There is no support for HDR.
At last year’s CES, a line-up of Westinghouse TVs built on Amazon’s FireTV platform was unveiled. There were no new Fire TVs to be found at CES this year but last year’s models will carry over into 2018 alongside the new Android TVs, the company confirmed to HD Guru.
The 2018 Westinghouse TVs are expected to be available in the second quarter, starting at $349 dollars.
