Loewe has started rolling out software version 4.4.40 that includes support for Amazon Alexa voice commands as well as new features such as Sat>IP Server, DVB Radio recording, and a refreshed media player. Loewe’s mobile app has also been updated.
Amazon Alexa in your TV
The Amazon Alexa skill allows you to turn on/off your Loewe TV and control video playback. You can also use it to check what is up next on a given TV channel and to switch HDMI port.
To use Alexa with your Loewe TV you need to install the latest TV software (version 4.4.40) and activate the Loewe TV Skill from the Alexa app on your smartphone. In addition you need Amazon Echo or Echo Dot with built-in microphones. You can optionally use the Amazon Alexa app on your phone. You can learn more about on Loewe’s webpage.
The latest software also adds new features such as Sat>IP Server, DVB radio recording, screen mirroring from Android smartphones or PCs, and a refreshed user interface for the media player.

Updated Loewe mobile app
The company added that it has also released version 1.3 of its mobile app, the ‘Loewe app’. It allows you to control and interact with the TV via your phone or tablet.
- “The new app version offers many new features. Starting with version 1.3, images from the smartphone (compatible as of Android 5.0 / iOS 8) or tablet can be streamed to the selected Loewe TV. This makes it possible to share images on iOS without having to use a third-party app. The Loewe app now also provides access to external sources. Pictures, music and videos can also be selected directly by the Loewe app and started on the TV,” the company said.
In addition, includes design changes and a keyboard icon that automatically pops up whenever you want to input text.
