Panasonic says that the new compact soundbars are designed to fit in under the TV. The difference is that HTB250 includes a wireless subwoofer.
Will fit under the TV
The soundbars come equipped with HDMI (including HDMI CEC) and can be connected to any TV on the market. But they are designed to fit right under a Panasonic 2018 TV, the company noted.
- ”The compact design of the two new Soundbars sits neatly between TV stands and fits comfortably under the TV frame, allowing for clutter-free viewing and perfect integration with your Panasonic TV.”
The soundbars do not include support for the latest and most advanced audio formats nor wireless protocols such as Airplay or Chromecast. Panasonic has set out to create a simple and compact solution that will still improve the audio experience. You can use the built-in Bluetooth function to listen to music.

- ”Both these speakers produce such high-quality sounds, it can be hard to imagine how this is possible from such a compact body size,” said Panasonic.
The difference between the two is that HTB250 comes with a wireless subwoofer that can lie flat or stand tall. HTB200 has no subwoofer.
Panasonic will add the soundbars to its line-up this year. Pricing details were not announced.
