Sony releases tool to edit your TV channel list via a PC

The ‘Sony Channel Editor’ program allows European Sony TVs owners to edit and re-order the channel list via a PC. It is compatible with Sony TVs from 2012 onwards.

The PC program is designed to help users more easily exclude and re-order channels in the channel list. It has been released for Windows and works in Europe only. 

- “We’re pleased to announce the launch of a new channel editing tool. The tool, available to download on your specific TV model page, is compatible with all Sony TVs from 2012 onwards. Once you’ve got the hang of the basics, why not try out the more advanced functions this tool can do?,” the company wrote. “We hope you enjoy the new tool; edit to your heart’s content.”

To get started you must download the Sony Channel Editor here. 



To export the channel list from your TV onto a USB stick you should follow these instructions:

You can now open the channel list (sdb.xml) file on your PC. A step-by-step instruction manual is available here.

The tool is currently supported in Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, and Turkish.
