Samsung has announced three new monitors for 2019. The ’Space Monitor’ has a flexible design, while the 49-inch CRG9 has been designed for gaming.

With the new monitors, Samsung is focusing on space-saving, gaming, and productivity. There are no major picture-related innovations here.

The ’Space Monitor’ has a minimalistic design with a fully-integrated arm allowing users to free up desk space by pushing it flat up against the wall. The company explains that it offers ”easy ergonomic adjustment, port access and a discreet cable management system”. It comes in 27” with 2560×1440 resolution and 32” with 3840x2160 resolution.

- ”It can also be lowered to the desk surface, and Samsung’s Zero Height Adjustable Stand feature provides the ultimate versatility for any type of viewing preference. The stand not only makes viewing more comfortable, but also eliminates the hassle of cable management by integrating power and HDMI cords through the arm for a clean, flexible look,” the company said.

Samsung also announced a 49-inch LCD VA gaming monitor with an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio. It supports AMD FreeSync 2 with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response time.

- ”Content truly comes alive on the CRG9, with dual QHD resolution (5120×1440) and HDR10 with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, providing superfine detail in the brightest and the darkest parts of an image. HDR10 delivers outstanding local dimming, and high-contrast HDR offers advanced spectacular highlights not available in non-HDR monitors. The monitor also leverages Samsung’s revolutionary Quantum dot technology for an exceptionally wide range of accurate color reproduction, and a 1,800mm screen curvature and an ultra-wide field of view for complete visibility,” Samsung said.

Samsung did not detail the monitor's HDR capabilities further. The CRG9 monitor comes with one HDMI port, two DisplayPort inputs, USB 3.0, and a headphone jack.

Lastly, Samsung announced a 32-inch UR59C monitor with 3840x2160 resolution designed for content creators. It has a curved LCD panel with a 2500:1 contrast ratio.

- ”Available in Dark Blue Gray, the UR59C has a super-slim design, with a depth of only 6.7mm with a fabric-textured rear casing. Its 3-sided bezel-less screen is attached to a slender yet sturdy V-slim metal stand with two-prong base that encases cables and reduces its footprint on work space.”

Samsung’s three new monitors will be showcased at CES 2019 next week. Availability and pricing details will be announced later.
