Technicolor, who owns the rights to the RCA TV brand, has announced new RCA TVs ahead of CES 2019. The line-up includes 70 and 78-inch 4K TVs.

RCA 100th anniversary

Technicolor said that 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the RCA brand. And while the RCA brand no longer has the same status as in the past, the anniversary will be celebrated with new big-screen TVs and a “100 years of Magic” campaign.

The new TV line-up for 2019 includes a 78-inch 4K TV called the RTU7877-B. Besides 4K resolution, it boasts a wide color gamut LCD panel and 4 HDMI ports. Full specifications were not revealed at this time. It will be priced at $1500.

Another new TV is the 70-inch RNSMU7036. It features 4K resolution, an LCD panel, Bluetooth, and built-in WiFi. It will be sold for $1130.

- ”We are incredibly proud of our longevity and accomplishments in the industry,” said Claire Villeneuve, head of Trademark Licensing for Technicolor (Owner of RCA Brand). ”American households have long embraced the RCA brand and products dating back to the first in-home radios because of the technology’s design, ease of use and value. We hope that consumers enjoy looking back on our history and celebrating what's ahead for us throughout 2019.”

The company also unveiled $200 dollars 720p “home theater projector” as well as a sounder with a built-in DVD and CD player. The products will be on display at CES 2019 where more details will be shared.
