Android Oreo on TCL Android TV
A limited number of TVs received the update in December and TCL has now started rolling out the update to everyone. As always, it will be a staggered roll-out. Check your TV to see if it is ready for your TV model and in your region.
Android 8 Oreo will be made available for all TCL Android TVs, meaning models launched in late 2016, 2017, and 2018. Android Oreo introduces a revamped home screen based on row of ”channels” that can highlight content from within apps such as Netflix. The update also enables Amazon Alexa support.

The original plan was to release the update in September but TCL faced some stability issues so it decided to delay the roll-out in order to improve performance.
The TCL C76 and 2019 models will come with Android Oreo pre-installed. At CES, the company also said that it is preparing an Android P (version 9) update. Exact details will be announced later.
