PlayStation Now, Sony’s game streaming service, is now available in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway for around 15 Euro per month, depending on your country.
PlayStation Now is expanding
As Microsoft, Google and others are gearing up to enter the arena of cloud gaming, Sony is busy expanding the footprint of its PlayStation Now game streaming service. It is a type of “Netflix for games” that gives you access to a game library for a monthly fee.
- ”Games include blockbuster smashes such as Mortal Kombat X, For Honor and WWE 2K18, critically-acclaimed PlayStation exclusives like Bloodborne, The Last of Us and God of War III Remastered, and family-friendly experiences including LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and Sonic Generations,” said Sony PlayStation.
Through a monthly subscription you gain access to a library of more than 600 PS2, PS3, and PS4 games that can be streamed via online servers to a PlayStation 4 console or a Windows PC. In addition, PS2 and PS4 games can be downloaded to a PS4.
PS Now was previously available as an app for Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, and PlayStation 3 but the company decided to discontinue support back in February 2017. It is not clear if Sony is working on bringing PS Now to additional platforms.
Games are being streamed in 720p SDR at 60 frames per second. New games will be added on a monthly basis, the company said adding that it reserves the right to also remove games without notice.
Starting yesterday, gamers in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway can sign up for PlayStation Now that comes with a free 7-day trial. Depending on your country, a subscription will cost you around 15 Euro per month or 100 Euro per year. More information is available here.
