The new Sony LCD TVs for 2019 are now available in the US and Europe. Some of the key features are 4K resolution and Android TV.

Sony's high-end X950G (XG95 in Europe) was released earlier this year and over the last couple of weeks Sony has been rolling out the X850G (XG85), XG83, and X800G (XG80) series.
All of the new TVs feature 4K resolution and Google's Android TV platform. The pre-installed Android 8 (Oreo) software has a revamped home screen. Later this year, the 95 and 85 series will receive support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit via a software update.
X950G (XG95) - plus XG90 in Europe - has an LCD panel with zone dimming capabilities, while the other new models use edge-lit LCD panels. In Europe, most of the TVs come with a built-in twin-tuner for recording. Some of the TVs support Dolby Atmos and HDMI eARC that allows the user to output (and pass-through) audio in lossless quality.

X950G (XG95) and XG90 are high-end LCD TVs that, together with last year's X900F (XF90) that will carry over into 2019, compete with premium LCD TVs from LG, Samsung, TCL, and others. Sony's high-end 4K LCD TVs will be available in sizes ranging from 55 to 85 inches, whereas the new mid-range models will be available in sizes ranging from 43 to 85 inches.
The new LCD TVs will soon be joined by Sony's A9G (AG9) and A8G (AG8) OLED TVs as well as an affordable 4K LCD model (XG70) without Android. Sony is also planning to launch its first 8K TVs (Z9G) next month. The company says that there is a single HD model (WG6) in the 2019 line-up but that it may decide to skip it in some regions.
