Roku now boasts 15 Roku TV partners

In addition to its own streaming boxes, Roku is partnering with major TV brands such as Hisense and TCL to make Roku TVs available in North America, Mexico, and most recently the UK. At CES 2020, Roku announced that new partners, including Polaroid, Atvio, and InFocus (in Mexico), will produce and sell Roku TVs this year. The company now has a total of 15 partners making Roku TVs. Most are budget TVs but Roku is trying to move upmarket with support for 4K, HDR, and soon 8K. - "We’re excited to expand our exceptional Roku TV partner lineup to include: ATVIO, Element, Hisense, Hitachi, InFocus (in Mexico only), JVC, Magnavox, onn., Philips, Polaroid, RCA, Sanyo, TCL and Westinghouse," the company said.Google most recently claimed that "6 out of the top 10" TV manufacturers use its Android TV platform, including Sony, TCL (in Europe), Philips (in Europe), Sharp, Hisense, and Xiaomi. At least 16 TV brands use Google's Android TV - possibly more. Amazon says that more than 150 TVs and soundbars with Fire TV have launched from brands such as Insignia, JVC, Grundig, Toshiba, and Onida. Tizen is still exclusive to Samsung TVs although Samsung now lets other TV makers license it, while webOS is used only in LG and B&O TVs. Roku TVs also recently made their debut in the UK with Hisense 4K TVs. The company says that the Roku TV program will be expanded to more European countries in the future.
