Xbox One is getting a new home interface in February
Microsoft will introduce a new, streamlined Xbox One home interface as part of a February update that also includes a couple of other new features and tweaks.Revamped user interface
First unveiled in July 2019, Microsoft has now confirmed that the revamped home interface will be rolled out as part of its February update for Xbox One. Since July 2019, Microsoft has made a couple of tweaks but the main concept remains unchanged as Xbox One will "keep your favorite content front and center, and gets you into your gaming experiences faster than ever". Users can also customize the home interface by adding or removing rows. - "With the new Home experience, we’ve removed the Twists from the top in favor of dedicated rows for Xbox Game Pass, Mixer, Xbox Community, and Microsoft Store with the added flexibility to add or remove rows for a customized experience," said Bradley Rossetti, Xbox Insider Team Lead.In addition, the February update introduces a refreshed 'My Games & Apps' screen, image support in conversations, the ability to view and install game bundles through Xbox Game Pass, more storage management suggestions, and some other smaller tweaks detailed in this blog post. Microsoft has yet to detail its plans for the next-generation Xbox game consoles so it is unclear if Xbox Series X will share the new home interface or offer an entirely different approach to the home screen. The update will roll out to all Xbox One owners in February.
