NBCUniversal launches preview of new Peacock streaming service
NBCuniversal's new streaming service Peacock, which features content like Two and a Half Men and Jurassic Park, will be available in early preview starting April 15 before launching across the US on July 15.Peacock early preview
Peacock will be available as an ad-supported streaming service at no additional cost for Comcast Xfinity X1 and Flex customers starting today April 15. Subscribers can upgrade to an ad-free version for $5 per month. - "Peacock Premium Offers 15,000+ Hours of the Blockbuster and Classic Movies and Series From NBCUniversal and Beyond Including Series Like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Two and a Half Men, Yellowstone and the Iconic Law & Order brands, and Movies Like Jurassic Park and Shrek," the company said.In addition, Peacock will offer Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, Seth Meyers' Late Night, new episodes of Curious George, and DreamWorks Animation original series. The new streaming service will compete for viewers' attention with Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO, and soon HBO Max. NBCUniversal is taking a different route than its competitors with a staggered roll out that will eventually see the peacock arrive in international markets, too.
Peacock will launch across the US on July 15, 2020, "across mobile, web and popular connected-TV platforms", the company said without providing details. It did not comment on video/audio streaming quality either.
