WarnerMedia's HBO Max will be available on Apple devices when it debuts on May 27, the company announced without specifying plans for other TV platforms.
On Apple TV and Apple TV
At launch, HBO Max will be available for tvOS (Apple TV HD, Apple TV 4K) and iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch). Customers with a 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV box can use AirPlay.
In addition, HBO Max will be fully integrated with the Apple TV app that is available on Apple devices, recent LG, Samsung and Vizio TVs as well as Roku and Amazon FireTV.
WarnerMedia added that "existing HBO Now customers who are billed through the App Store and HBO subscribers through Apple TV channels can log in and access the HBO Max app at no additional charge".
Other TV platforms
The company did not comment specifically on its plans for other TV platforms such as Android TV, FireTV, Roku, LG webOS, and Samsung Tizen. However, it did say that its intention is to make HBO Max "as widely available as possible".

"The availability to HBO Max across Apple devices is a great addition to our distribution offering and will provide seamless access for millions of customers."
HBO Max launches in the US on May 27 with 10,000 hours of content, including movies from Warner Bros. It will be priced at $15 per month. The service will launch internationally later. More information can be found here.
