Like Sonos, Google-powered devices can be set up in 'multiroom' configurations allowing you to listen to music on multiple devices and in different rooms at once. Android TV devices can now, for the first time, be added to Google speaker groups, according to reports and owners. You can learn more about how to manage speaker groups here.Google has yet to formally announce the new feature but according to reports it is rolling out gradually to all Android TV devices via a software update (version 1.47.207274) to the pre-installed 'Chromecast built-in' app in Android TV devices. If you are still stuck on an earlier version of the app you can join the Chromecast beta program to ensure that you receive the latest update immediately. Google previously added speaker group support to Chromecast devices. The feature was originally reserved for the now-discontinued Chromecast Audio. The company is also rumored to be launching an Android TV-based Chromecast soon. - Source: 9to5Google via Android TV Guide
