Starting later this month, streaming service Hulu will no longer work on Roku players and sticks from 2013 or earlier, the company has confirmed.
Hulu on Roku
Roku devices from 2013 and earlier are no longer receiving the latest Roku OS updates and as a result streaming services are not able to add the latest and greatest features to their apps.
Hulu is notifying owners of Roku streaming players (models 2400 to 3100) and sticks (model 2420 or earlier) that the app will cease working on June 24, 2020. The Hulu app for these devices is already missing premium features, including live TV.

Roku devices on Roku OS 8.1 or later will continue to work with Hulu. These include Roku 2 (4210), 3 (4230), 4 and Ultra, the Roku Express and Premiere sticks, and Roku TVs.
In December 2019, Hulu began rolling out 4K and 5.1 surround support to compatible TVs and streaming players, including some Roku devices. The streaming service is also in the process of rolling out a revamped user interface.
