Disney's 'Mulan' will cost €22 / £20 with Premier Access in Europe

Earlier this month, Disney announced that Mulan will skip theaters and premiere on Disney+. The movie was supposed to mark the grand re-opening of theaters together with Warner Bros' Tenet. At that time, Disney said that Mulan will cost $30 in the US. Today, the company has today confirmed that Mulan will cost €22 in Europe and £20 in the UK, which is, surprisingly, lower than the $30 price point in the US.The home premiere of Mulan will mark the launch of a new initiative that Disney+ refers to as Premier Access. It will sit on top of the regular Disney+ subscription plan. If you decide to cough up the extra money for Mulan you will have access to the movie only as long as you stay subscripted to Disney+. The company said that Mulan will also be available through other "platforms, including Apple, Google, and Roku" although further details are unclear. Before Mulan, Disney had shifted Artemis Fowl, Hamilton, Magic Camp, and The One and Only Ivan from theatres to Disney+. These titles were made available as part of the regular subscription plan. Mulan will also be included as part of the regular plan sometime in the future. Disney added that Mulan will be available to stream in "UHD, HDR, and Dolby Audio", although its unclear if that means Dolby Atmos.

What is Premier Access? Starting September 4, with Premier Access, you can watch Mulan before it's available to all Disney+ subscribers. Disney+ will offer Premier Access to Mulan for $29.99 on disneyplus.com and select platforms, including Apple, Google, and Roku. Once you have Premier Access to Mulan, you can watch as many times as you want on any platform where Disney+ is available. Your access to Mulan will continue as long as you are an active Disney+ subscriber.
