Disney+ now available in Nordics, Portugal, Belgium, more

Disney+ launches today in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

After launching in North America and Australia last year and major European countries earlier this year, Disney+ is today expanding to a handful of other countries in Europe.

Disney's full content library is available, with only a few exceptions due to existing rights agreements that have yet to expire. This includes movies, series, documentaries, shorts and original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.



It supports streaming in up to 4K Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos. The app is available on most popular TV platforms including Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung Tizen (2016+), LG webOS (2016+), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Disney+ supports offline viewing, 4 simultaneous streams, user profiles, and other features.

In November 2020, Disney+ will continue its global expansion by entering Latin America, including Brazil.

- "By year-end, Disney+ will be available in 9 of the top-10 economies in the world," Disney CEO Bob Chapek said earlier this year.

Disney+ costs 7 Euro per month (69 NOK/SEK, 59 DKK) or 70 Euro per year (689 NOK/SEK, 589 DKK).
