Three years after the first 4K HDR movies arrived on iTunes, Disney, movies from Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm (Star Wars) are now also available to buy and rent in up to 4K Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos.
Disney 4K on iTunes
Apple introduced 4K movie purchases and rentals through iTunes with the launch of Apple TV 4K in late 2017. Most major studios were on board, but Disney was missing for some reason.
Disney has arrived, finally! Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars movies are now available to buy and rent in up to 4K Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos in at least iTunes USA – possibly other regions too. The news was spotted by users on Reddit and first reported by 9to5Mac.
We have spotted titles such as Avengers Endgame, Toy Story 4, Thor Ragnarok, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. We are updating our list of 4K HDR movies on iTunes as we speak.

Apple iTunes usually upgrades existing purchases to 4K HDR and Atmos free of charge. Update: It has been confirmed that Disney titles are also being upgraded free of charge, although some users have had to log in and out first.
Disney's 4K movies are also available through Disney+ but Apple usually delivers higher bitrate streaming through iTunes.
