Sony gives us a first look at PS5's user interface

Sony has revealed the PlayStation 5 user interface in a video with a focus on making "your gaming experiences more fun, engaging, personalized and social."

The redesigned PS5 user interface puts gaming first, says Sony. The company highlighted features like the new Control Center and Activities (like new gameplay opportunities with support for picture-in-picture).

It is an entirely new user interface for PS5 whereas Microsoft is taking the opposite approach by having the same user interface in its Xbox One consoles and the new Xbox Series X/S consoles.
