FireCore, the company behind the Infuse app, says that Infuse for macOS will launch in Q1 2021 and that it will work on any Mac (both Intel and M1) running macOS Big Sur or later. - "Infuse for macOS will include most of the same great features found on iOS and Apple TV, including: Robust video playback, automatic organization, cloud streaming, Trakt sync, subtitle downloads, and more—all wrapped in a beautiful package that feels right at home on the Mac," the company said. "Infuse for macOS will make its App Store debut as part of Infuse 7 which is coming in Q1 2021."

It added that Infuse for macOS will be "a free upgrade for all those with an Infuse Pro subscription", meaning that a single subscription gives you access across Apple TV, Mac, and iOS. It can be shared via Family Sharing too. A public alpha release will be available in December. Infuse is a popular video player on Apple TV together with apps like Plex and VLC. Besides letting you enjoy ripped movies and videos on a laptop or desktop Mac, Infuse for macOS may appeal to users who are using Mac Mini as a media player for the TV screen. Here are some additional screenshots from an early build.
