Google's live TV service, YouTube TV, will in the coming weeks launch an add-on package for 4K video, offline downloads, and unlimited streams at home.
4K on YouTube TV
YouTube TV has been raising it subscription prices several times and is now asking $65 per month for the standard plan. If you want the new features such as 4K streaming, it will be an add-on package. Pricing was not announced.
- "YouTube TV will introduce a new add-on package with 4K streaming, offline viewing, and unlimited concurrent streams at home," the company said.
YouTube TV is available on TV, PC and mobile devices
The company did not elaborate on its plans for 4K either so it is unclear which channels will be available in the higher video quality. The add-on package will launch in the US in coming weeks.
YouTube TV has over 3 million subscribers and is competing with other live TV streaming services like Hulu with live TV, AT&T TV and Sling TV.
