Starting today, anyone in the US can try Amazon's game streaming service, Luna, for free for 7 days after which it will renew at $6 per month. It is now in open beta on FireTV devices.
Amazon Luna on FireTV
People in the US no longer need an invite to try Amazon's competitor to Google Stadia on FireTV devices. Luna is still invite-only on other devices such as Windows, Mac, Android and web browsers.
- "Starting today, we are excited to extend early access to more Fire TV customers. New customers can download the Luna app on Fire TV and get started with a 7-day free trial to the Luna+ channel. After the free trial, Luna+ channel subscriptions renew at $5.99/month during early access. The Luna+ channel has something for everyone, including hits like Control, Metro Exodus, Sonic Mania, and GRiD," announced Amazon.
There is also a $15 per month Ubisoft subscription channel that will give you access to additional games.

How to get started
To get started you must download the Luna app on your FireTV device. You also need the $70 Luna game controller or another compatible Bluetooth controller such as DualShock 4 or the Xbox One controller.
Luna was first announced in September 2020. At that time, Amazon said that it will support game streaming in up to 4K60 for select games. It will also gain Twitch integration.
Amazon Luna is still in beta, or "early access", and is currently available only in the US. The company has yet to announce details regarding an official launch.
