The Tidal app is now available on LG's webOS-based Smart TVs from 2018 or later. The app provides access to music videos, playlists, and a selection of tracks in Dolby Atmos.
Tidal on LG TVs
Tidal's TV app lets the user access the full music library of over 70 million tracks and 250,000 music videos in up to HD resolution.
- "With Tidal for LG TV, you get the same High Fidelity experience you’ve come to expect from Tidal directly on your television. See the latest music videos, concerts, and your favorite video playlists in HD. Listen to the latest albums and tracks from your favorite artists. All from the comfort of your living room," said Tidal.

Tidal app for LG TVs
The Tidal app for LG TVs supports MQA audio (Master Quality Authenticated) and Dolby Atmos as part of the company's HiFi subscription tier, which also covers Sony 360 Reality Audio. Tidal first launched Dolby Atmos support for music in May 2020 on Apple TV 4K, Android TV, and Fire TV. Examples of Dolby Atmos tracks are Ariana Grande’s 7 rings, The Weeknd’s After Hours, and Kanye West's Heartless.

The app is supported only on LG TVs from 2018 or later, meaning webOS 4.0 or later. LG has been using webOS in its Smart TVs since 2014 but the company is not providing webOS updates to its previous TVs. As a result, an LG TV is stuck on the version of webOS that it launched with.
The Tidal app is available now from LG's content store.
