Peacock now available on some Samsung Smart TVs

The Peacock app is rolling out to select Samsung Smart TVs starting today. It is supported on models from 2017 and later.

After launching on Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, LG TVs, consoles and other devices, NBCUniversal is bringing Peacock to Samsung's Tizen Smart TV platform.

Peacock will be supported only on Tizen 3.0 or later, meaning Samsung Smart TVs from 2017 onward. Samsung is using Tizen across all Smart TVs from 2015 to 2021, but the company is still refusing to provide software upgrades meaning that Samsung TVs are stuck on whatever version of Tizen that they launched with.

The Peacock app will offer access to a library of movies and shows as well as sports coverage from the Tokyo Olympics, French Open, and more. It supports up to HD streaming.

Peacock is available in the US for $5 per month with ads or $10 per month without ads.
