Hulu to raise prices of its on-demand plans

08 Sep 2021 | Rasmus Larsen |

Disney will soon raise prices of Hulu's on-demand plans. Starting on October 8, Hulu's ad-supported and ad-free plans will cost $7 and $13 per month, respectively.

Another price increase

Disney, which owns the majority of Hulu, has been busy raising its subscription streaming prices lately. In March, the cost of Disney+ in the US rose from $7 to $8 per month, and Hulu is now also going up by $1 per month. Starting on October 8, Hulu with ads will cost $7 per month and Hulu without ads will cost $13 per month, according to an email sent to customers. The price of the Disney bundle, however, will not change. It will still cost $13 per month for access to Hulu with ads, Disney+, and ESPN+. Or $20 per month for Hulu without ads, Disney+, and ESPN+. - "No — the Disney Bundle and Live TV plan prices will not change as a result of the above price changes," the company confirmed. As competition heats up, Disney is trying to push consumers in the US toward the bundle. Similarly, Amazon is offering its Prime bundle while Apple is offering its One bundle.
