Amazon has launched a new 'Fire TV Stick 4K Max', which is said to be 40% more powerful than its predecessor. It supports up to 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as well as wireless audio.
Fire TV Stick 4K Max
Amazon boasted that Fire TV Stick 4K is "the best-selling streaming media player in the US" and here comes the successor with improved hardware and new Alexa features.
Amazon's Fire TV platform provides access to popular streaming services like Amazon Prime, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, and Netflix. It also connects to Amazon Luna, the company's game streaming service.
The new stick supports 4K streaming with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also supports Dolby Atmos, meaning that it can receive, decode and pass Atmos audio to a TV or sound system.

Wi-Fi 6, wireless audio
Fire TV Stick 4K Max is equipped with a quad-core 1.8GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. Amazon said that it has 40% more power than the old 4K version of the Fire TV Stick. For the first time, it supports Wi-Fi 6.
In addition, it comes with new Alexa features such as 'Alexa Home Theater', which lets you wirelessly connect Amazon Echo speakers for improved TV sound.
- "It comes with the latest Alexa Voice Remote and is our first streaming stick to offer Live View Picture-in-Picture," said Amazon. "Alexa Home Theater is enabled, so you can wirelessly connect with Echo Studio or a pair of Echo (4th Gen) smart speakers for immersive sound, including multichannel Dolby audio formats."
Fire TV Stick 4K Max will be available in the US in October. It can be pre-ordered now for $55.
