Samsung The Frame can now show digitized artworks from Musée du Louvre including Mona Lisa and The Wedding Feast at Cana.
Bring Mona Lisa home
Samsung has announced a partnership with Louvre in Paris to bring around 40 artworks or photographs to The Frame. A short description of each work gives the user background and history.
The Frame's Art Store, which is a subscription service ($5 per month), now offers a catalog of over 1500 works from 43 countries, according to Samsung. The photos are available in up to 4K resolution. Samsung has previously added digitized artworks from Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh and Botticelli

- "Ever since we launched our Lifestyle TV portfolio in 2017, we have focused on developing the Art Store platform with prestigious partners. We want to offer much more than a television, inviting Art into the homes of The Frame owners everywhere. This catalog lists works by hundreds of artists, covering diverse periods, from ancient civilizations to modern art," said Wonjin Lee, Head of Service Biz, Samsung. "This year, we are proud to join forces with one of the most famous museums in the world, the Louvre, to enhance this collection and offer a taste of French heritage throughout the world."
Samsung's The Frame TV is based on LCD technology with edge LED backlight. Its display technology is matched by many affordable mid-range TVs but The Frame's photo frame features are unique. The LCD panel has relatively high fullscreen brightness and wide viewing angles for daytime viewing.
In the UK, Samsung has also launched theframebezel.com, which gives customers the option of selecting the design and color of a bezel to pair with the 2021 The Frame TV.
The 2021 version of The Frame is available in 32, 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches.
